Hear from Doug Cutting and Todd Lipcon unique Hadoop technical capabilities
Join the local DC community at a Hadoop Users Group meeting on Wed, Jan 25th from 6-9pm at The National Press Club, 529 14th Street NW, 13th floor, Washington, DC. The event will feature Doug Cutting and Todd Lipcon each discussing a variety of Hadoop technical capabilities, as well as taking Q A from the audience.
Doug is the creator of numerous successful open source projects, including Lucene, Nutch and the co-creator of Apache Hadoop and will speak this evening specifically on Avro. Doug joined Cloudera in 2009 from Yahoo! where he was a key member of the team that built and deployed a production Hadoop storage and analysis cluster for mission-critical business analytics.
Todd is an engineer at Cloudera, where he primarily contributes to open source distributed systems in the Apache Hadoop ecosystem. His discussion will be geared around Accumulo / HBase. He is a Project Management Committee member on the Apache Hadoop, HBase, and Thrift projects.
