ARLINGTON, Va., Sep 07, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Counter Terror Expo US, the conference and expo serving our nation’s complete counter-terror community, today announced Michael Leiter will deliver the opening keynote address for the event, taking place May 16-17, 2012 in Washington, DC.
Michael Leiter is the former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), the U.S. government agency responsible for the analysis and integration of all terrorism intelligence as well as strategic operational planning for counterterrorism activities. Prior to leading this agency, Mr. Leiter served as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Director of National Security, coordinating operations for the ODNI, to include relationships with the White House, the Departments of Defense, State, Justice, and Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency, and Congress. He has received numerous awards and recognition of his outstanding service to the United States government, including the Intelligence Community Distinguished Service Medal, which is the highest award given in the Intelligence Community.
